Padlet for Professional Development

Once the AP exam is over, I always start looking ahead to next year. I reflect on my year and begin to think about professional development for my department. I found that Padlet is a great tool for planning out professional development for the year. For next year, I have decided to focus our professional development on Building Thinking Classrooms in Mathematics. I’ve used Padlet to plan out how we will cover the chapters of the book. I like how I can set up the columns in Padlet for each chapter in the book and provide additional resources related to each chapter.

Padlet

In the past, I have used Padlet to document our departments’ professional development as we used design thinking to evaluate our instruction. I included our vision and PD plan along with various resources and activities that we planned throughout the year. It was a great way of showcasing our work.

I have also used Padlet to collect resources for our department. We are always looking for fun ways to review and engage students in learning. The Padlet is a great way for the department to share resources and ideas.
