My Story
Kimberly Burton-Regulski
Hello, I’m Kimberly Burton-Regulski.
Thanks for taking a moment to get to know me.
I have been teaching for 24 years at the same high school. It has been a wonderful journey. I started as a young, excited, and naïve teacher. Twenty-five years later, I am still excited and young at heart, but much wiser.
I have taught almost every math subject from algebra I to AP Calculus BC. I have also taught AP Computer Science A. I have been the mathematics department chairman for many years and am also an AP CS A consultant for College Board. In 2008, I was awarded the Presidential Award for Mathematics and Science Teaching. I have also won several other awards for my teaching and my work encouraging female students to pursue STEM.
My strength is creating a positive classroom environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, working together, and engaging in learning. I do my best to create fun activities that encourage students to collaborate with each other, support each other in the learning process, self-assess their understanding, and challenge each other to do their best.
